Supplier Qualification

Made in China have a well-placed system, wherein suppliers are required to allow us to evaluate their capabilities and ensure that they are in agreement with our overall supply chain management requirement.

Self-assessment
Before charting our initial assessment, the China manufacturers or suppliers will first be contacted and requested to fill in an online questionnaire, to be supported by scanned evidences and required documents.

Qualification Assessment Report
An objective report is prepared based on the exhaustive supplier self-assessment, and our own supplier quality systems audit. The completed report also outlines primary logistic information about the China manufacturers or suppliers.

Qualification Assessment Rating
With an aim to persevere with an unbiased and transparent supplier qualification ethic, we have developed a qualification rating process which is a computed scoring methodology based on the comprehensive assessment report. Each element in the report is accorded points and suppliers or manufacturers are encouraged to score 100 per cent for each component. However, 85 per cent is the acceptable level for a supplier or manufacturer to secure a preferred rating status.

Follow-up Assessments
China Manufacturers and Suppliers perform follow-up assessments every two years (or earlier at the buyer or supplier's request) to keep track of the suppliers' continual corrective initiatives.
